FAQ

What kind of therapy do you practice? Is this a good fit for people who’ve never done therapy before?
This is a whole-person, collaborative approach that draws from a wide range of evidence-based models—including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Internal Family Systems, Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and traditional meditation practices. Part of our work together is identifying the approaches and supports that meet you where you are right now and letting the process adapt as you grow.
Whether this is your first experience or you’ve been in therapy before, the work adapts to you. Since you’ll drive what we focus on and how we work, no prior experience is necessary. The only thing you need to bring is a willingness to engage in the process.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I’m currently in network with several insurance plans, and more are expected to be added soon. Coverage varies by plan, so I encourage you to check whether your specific insurance is included. You can verify your benefits and get an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost through Zencare or Headway before booking.
My approach to care is not dictated by insurance. Treatment planning, support, and the pace of our work are guided by your needs and what will be most helpful for you. Insurance coverage may affect what is reimbursed, but not the thoughtfulness or intention behind the care you receive. We can create a flexible fee schedule if that would make the work more accessible.

What are concierge therapy services?
Concierge therapy is for clients who want a more flexible, high-touch level of support. That can mean multiple meetings a week, brief check-ins, or including other people and professionals from your life in the work. For those who want sustained access and coordination over a set period of time, a concierge model allows us to work more intensively together. In these cases, we agree on a set monthly fee (minimum three months) and I make myself available beyond standard session times to keep the work moving in real time.
-
Who do you work best with?
I work especially well with people who are thoughtful, motivated, and ready to engage therapy as an active process. Many of my clients are looking for more than a place to vent. They want clarity, growth, and a genuine partner in making meaningful change.

Do you work with clients outside your local area or across state lines?
Yes. I can work with clients in New York. Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and Florida via telehealth. In-person meetings are available in some cases with advance planning.

What can I expect in the first session?
Our first session is a conversation, not an assessment. We’ll talk about what’s working in your life, where you want more, and the changes you’d like to see. From there, we’ll start shaping the work together. You set the pace; I bring the questions, perspective, and structure to make that first conversation meaningful without pressure.
